SAFETY
ON CAMPUS:
The Department of Public Safety recently received a report of a suspicious
male making physical contact with a female student on campus. Earlier
this year, a female student was sexually assaulted on campus. The
department reminds all university community members to think "safety
first."
Safety Tips:
Travel in groups when possible.
Use the university's lighted walkways.
Request an escort when you have to walk alone at night.
Report suspicious persons to public safety.
Lock your car doors when driving.
"This is a very safe campus," noted David Zarifis, director
of public safety. "But that doesn't mean we should take that
safety for granted. We all have to take responsibility for keeping
ourselves safe."
More more safety tips, see the UNI Department of Public Safety Web
site at: http://www.uni.edu/pubsaf/
