SPRING
COMMENCEMENT UPDATE:
Because the UNI-Dome will be under construction in May, spring commencement
will be moved to the GBPAC. For full details, see the news release at

USER ID CHANGE AVAILABLE APRIL 1:
User ID amnesty will be in effect beginning April 1 through April 14.
During this time, students may select a new user ID, even if a change
from the UNI-assigned user ID has already been made.

REGISTRATION
INFORMATION AVAILABLE FOR SUMMER/FALL 2002:
Registration information for Summer and Fall 2002 advance registration
is now available to students on the Web at http://www.uni.edu/regist/reginfo.htm
or http://myuniverse.uni.edu.
Degree audits for undergraduate students are also available from these
web sites. Paper copies are no longer being mailed to students. Graduate
programs of study are still being mailed to graduate students as they
are not yet available on the web. If you have questions regarding this

WEEKLY
UNI CABLE NEWS PROGRAM:
"The Northern Iowa Report," a 30-minute news program produced by UNI
electronic media students is now appearing weekly. The show is live
on UNI cable each Thurs. at 11:30 a.m., and can also be seen on the
ground floor and second floor monitors in Lang. The program is rebroadcast
at 7:30 p.m. each Thurs. in Waterloo (Mediacom Ch. 17), and in Cedar
Falls (CFU and Mediacom Ch. 15): Fri. at 7 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 11:30 p.m.
and Sat. at 4:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.

SURVEY:

to respond is March 15 by 5 p.m. The survey takes only 10 minutes to
complete. The intent is to determine if the childcare needs of students

FOREIGN SERVICE EXAMINATION: The registration deadlines are
March 11 for the April 13 test date; August 13 for the September 21,

BUSINESS TAX WORKSHOP: The UNI Regional Business Center
will offer an IRS Small Business Tax Workshop on Thursday, March 28
from 9am to 4pm, just in time to file your 2001 tax returns. Learn
about deductible business expenses, health insurance deductions for
the self-employed, payroll taxes, deposit requirements, record keeping,
tax returns to file, and more. The class will be held at 212 E. 4th
St., Waterloo. The fee is $35 per participant and includes a light
