FOUND IN CAC:
A key was found in 263 CAC the last Friday of November. It is on a
black plastic key fob. Call Barbara at 3-2496.

WEATHER
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
All vehicles should be removed from G, A and B parking lots between
1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Failure to do so hinders snow removal activities
and can result in a fine or towing. Weather can cause delays or cancellation
of classes. Local TV and radio stations will announce UNI weather-related
decisions. Announcements also will be posted on the UNI home page.
If there is no announcement, plan on normal operations. If you are
unsure about reporting to work, contact your supervisor.

PROJECT
VIP VOLUNTEER FAIR: Wed., Jan. 23, UNI's Project VIP will
be hosting the annual Spring semester Volunteer Fair from 11 a.m.
-2 p.m. in the Maucker Union Expansion Room. Over 40 not-for-profit
agencies from the Cedar Valley area will be attending. This is an
opportunity for students to connect with local agencies and match
your personal interests and skills with agencies' needs. Agencies
will be recruiting volunteers for a variety of service opportunities,
both short-term and semester-long.

OF ART EXHIBITION:
UNI Gallery of Art presents: "Pandemonium: Recent Paintings by
Susan Chrysler White" and "A Loess Hills Suite," photographs
by Richard Colburn. These exhibitions run concurrently starting Jan.
14. Susan Chrysler White will present a lecture in the KAB 111, at
6 p.m., Sat., Jan. 19. An opening reception for both exhibitions will
follow the lecture. All exhibitions, lectures, and opening receptions

SMALL BUSINESSES: The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center
and the UNI Regional Business Center will offer a presentation on
"An Introduction to Intellectual Property for Small Business," Thurs.,
Jan. 17 from 1-2 p.m. at the Regional Business Center, 212 E. Fourth
Street in Waterloo. This presentation is free and open to the public.

MARTIN LUTHER KING
JR. OBSERVANCE: The Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. observance
will be held at 7:30 p.m., Mon., Jan. 21 in the GBPAC Great Hall.
Dr. Michael D. Blackwell will speak on "Advancing King's Legacy in
the 21st Century". There will be special performances by the UNI and
Wartburg College Gospel Choirs. Orchesis will offer two contributions
to the program. Local artist, Ms. Effie Burt will be the guest entertainment
for the evening program.

PRESERVATION HALL
JAZZ BAND: Preservation Hall Jazz Band In cooperation with
the Cedar Basin Jazz Festival will perform Tues., Jan. 22, 7:30 p.m.,
GBPAC, Great Hall. The world famous musicians of Preservation Hall
transport us to another time; an era when Louis Armstrong and Jelly
Roll Morton were kings of the jazz world.

MASTERS SWIM MEET: Panther
Masters Swimming will host a swim meet Sun., Feb. 10, 10 a.m., WRC.
The meet is for all swimmers who are 19 years of age or older and
is an opportunity to compete with people in your age group and to
help to support UNI's swimmers and divers. All proceeds will be donated
to the UNI Foundation's Glen F. Henry Endowment Fund. For more information
