LATHAM STADIUM:
The Rod Library Special Collections Division has just made available
a brief Web history of O. R. Latham Stadium, UNI's football field before
the construction of the Dome. The Stadium was located west of the West
Gymnasium. For a number of years, it included a men's dormitory. If

PIAZZA GRAND OPENING:
The Grand Opening for the Piazza will be Mon. - Wed., Sept. 10-12. The
event will include door prizes, nightly give-aways, Piazza events for
students and student performances. Everyone with a valid UNI ID card
will have an ID coupon "programmed" onto their card which will be good
for a fountain drink at Biscotti's Mon. - Wed. between 2 and 4 p.m.
or at the Piazza during Late Late Night, 10:15 - midnight. The first
500 guests to redeem their ID coupon will get their beverage in a re-usable

AT THE LAPIN AGILE: Director/Designers' Presentation:
Picasso at the Lapin Agile 6:30 pm Wed., Sept. 12, Strayer-Wood Theatre.
Theatre UNI will host a Director/Designers' Presentation for the upcoming
production of Steve Martin's comedy, Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Director
Steve Taft and the scenic, lighting, and costume designers share their
vision of the production and the process of bringing the play to life

"'Family Values:' Myths and Realities of the American Family." Lecture
by Elaine Tyler May, Professor of American Studies, University of Minnesota,
Twin Cities. Professor May is the 28th Annual Carl L. Becker Memorial
Lecturer in History. The Becker Memorial Lecture inaugurates the Department
