Important Summer Information for Prospective Students

Marching Band is a fantastic way to continue to play your instrument, make new friends, and contribute to the campus community while you are in college. Planning for the 2009 Season is well under way, and it looks like 2009 is going to be an exciting year for the Panther Marching Band!

The Panther Marching Band performs at all UNI home football games. Please check our calendar for a complete schedule.

During the semester, Marching Band rehearses three days a week:

Mondays 5:45-7:45pm
Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm
Fridays 3:00-4:30pm

There is no cost to join the Panther Marching Band. However, students are responsible for purchasing

a band t-shirt ($6.00)
white marching shoes ($24.00 for winds and drumline, $31.95 for colorguard)
white gloves ($3.00 for winds and drumline, $11.95 for colorguard)
a band baseball hat ($10.00)

(Prices are approximate and based on last year's costs)

All of these items are purchased through the PMB. You will indicate sizes for the items you need on your PMB registration form, and you will receive the items when you check in on the first day of band camp. Costs for these items are charged to your U-Bills.

Interested in auditioning?

Panther Marching Band offers many opportunities to be more involved. Auditions for colorguard, drumline, or leadership positions will be available to all band members. Keep you're eyes and ears open for more information!

Community and Technical Students

Panther Marching Band offers opportunities for you to be involved, as well. Instructions are given for those who are interested.
