The best part? Most nights you can hear these riveting performances from world-traveled faculty and guest artists absolutely FREE.

Northern Iowa Youth Orchestra Chamber Music Concert

The UNI Suzuki School will sponsor the Northern Iowa Youth Orchestra's Chamber Music spring concert. This ensemble features area high school musicians and is conducted by John Chiles. This event is free and open to the public.

Suzuki Honors Recital

The UNI Suzuki School will offer their spring honors recital. This event is free and open to the public.

Midwest International Piano Competition

June 1-7, 2014, various times, GBPAC

The School of Music will host the Midwest International Piano Competition June 1-7. Join us for the inaugural celebration of this new, biennial, global piano competition. The event is open to outstanding youth and professional performing pianists and audience enthusiasts.

All preliminary rounds June 1-5 will be free and open to the public. The finals concert for the junior category is ticketed and will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, June 6. The finals concert and reception for the senior category is ticketed and will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 7. Tickets for both finals concerts are available by calling 319-273-4TIX or visiting www.uni.edu/tickets and selecting "Buy Tickets" under the School of Music heading.
