Concert Band

Fall Semester

The Northern Iowa Concert Band rehearses in the fall semester and has two performances. The performance literature for the Concert Band includes not only the standard repertoire for large wind and percussion ensemble, but also compositions in contemporary styles. Auditions for Concert Band are open to all UNI students.

Spring Semester

The UNI Spring Concert Band provides wind band performance opportunities to all UNI students, both music majors and non-music majors. Additionally, the UNI Spring Concert Band provides opportunities for music education majors to gain ensemble performance experiences on secondary instruments. The literature for the UNI Spring Concert Band includes standard and educational repertoire for large wind and percussion ensemble. No audition is required for participation.
