Concert Performers and Reception Details

The Great Hall concert will feature outstanding UNI School of Music student musicians, along with exceptional faculty artists performing classical, jazz and opera favorites. For decades, the Scholarship Benefit Concerts have received rave reviews and standing ovations. This year's performers will include the Northern Iowa Wind Symphony with faculty artists Amanda McCandless, clarinet, and Chris Buckholz, trombone, Jazz Band One, the UNI Opera Ensemble, the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra and more!

As always, the end of the concert is only the beginning of the festivities. Plan to stay for a post-show celebration and music-filled reception, complete with scrumptious hors d'oeuvres, sparkling champagne/gingerale and "street musicians" at the circus, as well as dancing and big band music in Davis Hall. You won't want to miss it!

The Scholarship Benefit Concerts have been raising scholarship funds for exceptionally talented music students and students in need since 1982. In addition to the income from tickets sales for the concerts, we have developed a network of community, small business, corporate and university-related donors. The extent of this support has been most gratifying to the students and faculty at UNI’s School of Music.

To allow us to continue the support we have provided in the past, please consider becoming a special donor. To find out more about donor categories and benefits, please contact us.

Your support makes the difference and allows each student to excel at UNI!
