Registration

Registration is required for all programs. Register early to schedule your visit! Some times of the year are busier than others. Please have several dates in mind when scheduling your visit.

To register, complete the online pre-registration form, call 319-273-3276, or e-mail Diane.Schupbach@uni.edu.

Programs

Programs vary in length from 30 minutes for preschoolers to an hour for older students. You may mix and match programs to create half- or full-day visits to the UNI campus.

Accessibility

Most areas of both sites are accessible. Please note any special needs when scheduling your visit.

Group size

Our preferred ratio is 1:7, adults to children. Some programs may require additional adult assistance. Please bring active and enthusiastic helpers!

Groups of 25 or less may make single-site visits.

Larger groups are asked to divide into smaller groups and schedule a scavenger hunt or visit an alternative site and rotate between sites.

If your trip is to include a site away from the museum, please allow an extra 15 minutes for transportation (which you provide) between buildings. Arrange to keep your transportation available during your visit to help with movement between sites.

Nametags

Please remember large, legible nametags for everyone in your group.

Museum Store

With your permission, students may visit the Museum Store. Please allow extra time for this.

No food or drink

No food or drink is allowed in either of our museums. If you would like to eat your sack lunches at various venues on campus, including the UNI-Dome, Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, the Center for Energy and Environmental Education, or Schindler Education Center, please see Fieldtrip UNI for more information. All venues subject to availability.

Cameras

Teachers and students are welcome to bring cameras to document their visit.
