Touch and Tell Tour
Preschool, 45 minutes
Learn about a variety of animals by touching different furs, shells, horns, and antlers. Half the class tours the Museum while the other half enjoys the program. Halfway through, the groups will switch so that everyone enjoys both experiences.
Math and More
Grades PreK-1, 45 minutes
HELD AT THE MARSHALL CENTER SCHOOL
Learn about history in a fun way. Travel back in time using slates and slate chalk to do addition problems. Hear stories about what school was like in a one-room schoolhouse in the 1920s.
M.E.S.S. (Museum Explorations through Science and Stories)
Preschool, 30 minutes, class size is limited to 16 per session
Develop literacy and a love of learning through this special preschool program. Learn about all sorts of science topics like bats, snow, leaves, owls, shells, and water. Hear stories, learn new words, and complete a craft project to take home. This program functions in cooperation with the Early Childhood Community Liaison for Blackhawk County.
