Celebrate Iowa's cultural heritage with UNI Museums' annual photography contest and exhibition.
Our World In Focus: Iowa's Cultural Heritage features the work of amateur photographers of all ages.
Contest participants submitted 8x10" photos with subject matter consisting of traditional and/or cultural costumes, customs, foods, architecture and community events. The deadline for submission was Tuesday, Oct. 25.
There are two age divisions, Youth (17 and below) and Adult (18 and above). One winner in each age division will receive a gift card courtesy of Porter's Digital Camera's & Imaging.
Contest winners will be announced Monday, Dec. 19 on UNI Museums' Facebook page, www.facebook.com/unimuseums. A selection of photos will be on display Dec. 19, 2011-Jan. 21, 2012 in the Mini Gallery at the University Museum, 3219 Hudson Road, Cedar Falls.
