Dr. Paul and Mary Bender Scholarships
2008-2009
The Dr. Paul and Mary Bender Scholarship will be awarded annually to one or more
graduate level students who have received an undergraduate degree in foreign
languages from UNI and who are pursuing graduate studies in foreign languages at UNI.
The amount of the scholarship will be the equivalent to in-state graduate
tuition which will be credited to fall and spring tuition. This tuition scholarship
must be to support graduate course work toward a degree in the Department of
Modern Languages.
In order to qualify for the Dr. Paul and Mary Bender Scholarship a student must:
- Have completed a BA in the Department of Modern Languages at UNI
- Be a full-time graduate student in the Department of Modern Languages at UNI during the tenure of the award
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3
- Not hold a graduate tuition scholarship during the 2007-2008 academic year
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
