Jane Sherwin Schwartz Modern Language Scholarships
2008-2009

The Jane Sherwin Schwartz Modern Language Scholarship will be awarded to UNI undergraduate students with a major in the Department of Modern Languages. Incoming freshmen are eligible. The amount of the scholarships will vary and be credited to fall and spring tuition.

In order to qualify for the Jane Sherwin Schwartz Modern Language Scholarship a student must have:

• a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and
• a 3.3 GPA in his/her major field.

The scholarship may be renewable each year provided the student maintains satisfactory academic performance and continues with a major in Modern Languages (French, German, Russian, Spanish or Dual Language) at UNI.

Please submit the following material:

1. Completed application form
2. Transcripts
3. A cover letter addressing your professional goals (200-250 words)
4. Incoming freshmen only: a letter of recommendation from a high school instructor
