
Requirements for Graduate Admission to Degree Status
in the Department of Modern Languages
In addition to the requirements of the Graduate College, students are expected to have an undergraduate major or minor in the intended area(s) of study, documented on an official university transcript or its equivalent.
Students who do not have a major or minor in the intended area(s) of study may be admitted provisionally, providing they can document their language skills and the academic preparation required to succeed in the graduate program for which they are applying.
Students with academic deficiencies may be required to take additional
undergraduate coursework to prepare for graduate studies.
