Math Education Lab

The Mathematics Education Lab in Wright Hall, room 209, is a resource that is available to students funded by the Department of Mathematics. The purpose of the Mathematics Education Lab is to provide resources for undergraduates, graduates, area teachers, and the Mathematics Department Faculty.

Most, but not all of the time, assistants are available to help elementary majors with course work in mathematics education as well as to help individual find materials. Tables are available in the lab for individual or small group study.

Materials in the Math Ed Lab reflect a contemporary approach to teaching and learning mathematics. Some of the materials include

  • Manipulatives
  • K-12 Textbooks
  • NCTM publications
  • Professional journals
  • Children's Books containing mathematics related themes
  • Teacher resources
  • Laser disks, CDs and videotapes
  • Software, calculators, and computers

Wright 209 is usually open from 9:00 to 4 or 5 Monday through Thursday and until 1 on Fridays.
