Every month the UNI Math Department presents events and colloquia that are open to students, faculty, and the general public. A variety of topics are covered each year, oftentimes reflecting current research and interests of various members of the department and student body.

Facilities in the Math Department

The Math Department is located in Wright Hall, which was completely renovated in 1990. The classrooms and the labs are modern and comfortable.

Computer Labs
The computer labs in Wright Hall are located throughout the building and have Sun workstations, Windows computers, and Macintoshes available for students' use.

Math Education Resource Center
The Math Education Lab in Wright Hall, room 209, is a resource that is available to students funded by the Department of Mathematics. The puprose of the Mathematics Education Lab is to provide resources for undergraduates, graduates, area teachers, and the Mathematics Department Faculty. Get Help in the Math Department

The lab and resource center in the UNI Math Department are there for students in the Math Department.

Tutoring is available on a drop in basis in both the Math Lab and the Math Education Lab. Although we don't check materials out to students, there are plentiful materials and workstations for student use.

The Labs are also great places for working groups to meet to study, do group work, and use the materials available in both Labs.
