Management Majors
Managers, today and in the future, will be confronted with the need to develop strategies for competing in an international economic system. Advanced technology has brought constant changes in computer-assisted design and manufacturing, robotics, and information systems. Today’s business managers must learn to detect and even anticipate change, understand the changes they see, and develop effective strategies to cope with these changes.
As managers face new challenges and more complex decisions, they must be able to solve them with new tools and techniques. Consequently, managers need to acquire skills in the fundamental areas of business while developing the ability to deal effectively with people, make complex decisions, and willingly accept change. If you have the ability to organize and make sound decisions, you should seriously consider majoring in management at the University of Northern Iowa.
