  1. PDF five page long outline and minute by minute notes about the video tutorial. FLVPlayback, Component Inspector, .fla .swf .flv, SkinUnderAll.swf, Ctrl+Enter, PUBLISH Settings, SSH Secure Shell to sunny.uni.edu and file transfer, Modify menu > Document > Match Contents add 40 pixels to height, what is the URL to use, Window menu > New File Transfer in the Current Directory, ...

  2. This video tutorial does NOT include the FLVPlaybackCaptioning and captions.xml portion.

It is a 17 minute long video.

  3. At 2:30 into the video, you will see the FLVPLayback component and how to set that up. In the previous versions of Flash (CS3 and CS4), you need to use the Component Inspector to set up FLVPlayback. In CS5 Flash, you see the properties in the Property Inspector and do NOT have to open up the Component Inspector. The concept is the same no matter whether CS4 or CS5 Flash, so it will help you to see is explained in CS4 here.

  4. At 09:11 into the video, you would be uploading a 5th file: captions.xml would have the captions you created.

.FLA versus .SWF versus .HTML and SKINs will be very clear after you study this video.

  5. At 09:38 into the video, "mkdir" is explained. How can you avoid that? It has been shown in class.

  6. At 10:12 of the video, there is a way to avoid "cd soupOrSundae" that has been shown in class. Very similar to how you can avoid "mkdir".
