Those who use telnet to access acad.uni.edu or sunny.uni.edu from off-campus are required to utilize a secure version of telnet.

Macintosh OS X has a secure shell already built-in so this software is not required.

Alternatives to secure software is to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection.
