UNI DEPARTMENTS ONLY ! ! ! -  166 FREE DELL DESKTOP COMPUTERS

From ITS Student Computer Centers - Spring 2008

Requests must be submitted through your college or division technical coordinator to get full consideration by noon, April 25th.

Although these machines are slightly older (3-5years old) technology (detailed specs below) we recognize they may be able to replace even older equipment to provide valuable ACCESS and SERVICE for STUDENTS at various locations throughout UNI.  These machines were purchased with Student Computer Fee funding, therefore, PREFERENCE will be given for placing units providing the most “DIRECT USE BY / DIRECT BENEFIT TO UNI STUDENTS”.  This offer is extended only to campus departments NOT student groups or individuals.

Deadline for submitting proposals is noon on Friday, April 25th.  Evaluation of proposals and awards of these machines will be made starting May 1st with YOUR pickup of computers being completed between June 5th -9th

If you have received an allocation from this source in the recent past, please consider whether these machines offer a significant enough of an upgrade before making another request.  Also, if you are interested in this opportunity you must discuss support for this acquisition with your computer support personnel prior to making a request.

NOTE: ALL REQUESTS MUST COME FROM AND BE ENDORSED BY YOUR COLLEGE OR DIVISION TECHNICAL COORDINATOR!!!

ANY REQUEST WITHOUT REQUIRED INFORMATION (IN THE FORMAT BELOW) OR WITHOUT ENDORSEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED!!!
