Remote Desktop Access to Windows XP Professional

We permit our users to remote to their Windows XP Pro desktops via the built in Remote Access Client (128-bit encrypted). Authentication is via the user's Active Directory account. This works extremely well for the user as the training is minimal and the understanding of how it works is high. As a user you have access to all your files (including network drives), all your applications (including secure transactions such as Oracle and 3270 access to legacy applications on IBM Mainframe), and all your PC software (no licensing issues for remote borrowed, home or laptop machines).

Remotely the user can use any XP Home or Pro computer as the client is built in (Start/All Programs/Accessories/Communications/Remote Desktop Connection) and ready to use on every Windows XP system. The user may also choose to carry a memory stick, CD, or diskette containing the remote client, this client also works from Windows 95/98/NT/2000 and there is a client available for the Macintosh.
