FAQ - Email Account After Graduation


At the end of the third week of both the Fall and Spring semester the system administrator looks at the list of currently enrolled students and compares that to the list of current e-mail accounts. Any e-mail accounts related to students who are not currently enrolled in classes (including students that have withdrawn from classes) are archived to tape back-up and disabled. Students who have graduated retain their email accounts for 9 months after their graduation date.

Graduate students who have completed all coursework for their degree, but not yet received their degree, may request an extension by asking their advisor or committee chair to confirm their status with the relevant system administrator. The continued used of computer labs may also be requested.
 

If you need additional assistance please contact the Computer Consulting Center (CCC) at (319) 273-5555. The CCC is located in Room 36 ITTC Building (East Gym). Consultants are available to provide hands-on assistance daily Monday through Friday during University Business Hours.
