Requesting Email Accounts For New Employees

1. The Human Resources area automatically assigns an UNI Username and University ID # (UNIID) when a new employee is setup.
2. New email accounts for employees are created with overnight processes Monday through Friday evenings. No account application form is needed for email account setup. All new employees will automatically have an email account created for them 7 days before their official start date at UNI, unless, they already have a student UNI email account that has not been disabled. If someone goes from being a UNI student to a UNI employee then they will need to email Postmaster@uni.edu to have their employee email account created.
3. If the individual wants their email alias to be different than Firstname.Lastname (e.g., Tom.Smith instead of Thomas.Smith) make that request directly via email to Postmaster@uni.edu
4. If an individual wants a WWW space, Blog, or electronic Calendar account then they need to complete a Computer Account Application and send or bring the application to the Computer Consulting Center, 36 ITTC, Campus Mail Code 0522. Forms are available on the WWW at http://www.uni.edu/its/us/document/signupforms or in the Computer Consulting Center.

If you need additional assistance please contact the Computer Consulting Center (CCC) at (319) 273-5555. The CCC is located in Room 36 ITTC Building (East Gym). Consultants are available to provide hands-on assistance daily Monday through Friday during University Business Hours.
