Managing Mail Contacts

Collab provides access to a complete corporate directory of all the other Collab users at UNI. During the course of your work, however, you will probably need to build a list of contacts outside of UNI.

You can create and store contact information for anyone with whom you communicate, using the 'contacts lists' feature. You can create entries in your personal contacts list, share your contacts with other Collab users, and view contacts that have been shared with you.

The Mail contacts list is a very useful way to keep in touch with your important clients, customers, vendors, professional and personal contacts. Users who have access to your contacts cannot edit or delete contacts in your list. You can also mark specific contacts in your list to be private. Private contacts are not visible to others, even if you shared your personal contacts list with them.

When viewing the corporate directory, you can examine the organizational relationships between employees. Employees can be displayed along with direct reports, managers, and the reports and managers above and below those people.

Navigate to either the Web Access client or Web Mail client from http://www.uni.edu/email, UNI email on the web.

If you want to use the WebAccess client, you must be using one of these browsers:
• Internet Explorer 6 (Windows 2000 or XP)
• Mozilla 1.7.3 or later (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)
• Firefox 1.0 or later (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)

If you do not have access to one of these browsers, you will need to use the WebMail client, which will work with older browsers.
