Request: par2951-1

General Description: Off campus users from Waterloo Schools (possibly other locations) are not able to authenticate their email clients because the UNI email system is not using standard communication ports for secure email.
Problem Reported Date: 05/10/2007
Planned Action: We will change the UNI system to utilize standard ports.
Impacted Users: Off campus users using ISP (Internet Service Providers) that block non-standard ports for secure email communication.
Status: n/a
Estimated Completion Date: n/a
Workaround: User can only use the email web clients WebAccess or WebMail
ITS Statement/Opinion: The UNI implementations will be changed to utilize standard ports.
