General Description: Departmental account owners are not automatically notified of pending password expiration. Also, the departmental Account passwords that have expired cannot be administered normally like individual email accounts. To reset the expired password the UNI Postmaster must be contacted.
Problem Reported Date: June 26, 2007
Planned Action: Setup automatic notification processes and build a tool for the users to be able to administer their departmental accounts.
Impacted Users: All department email users

Workaround: Contact Postmaster@uni.edu
ITS Statement/Opinion: The impact is affecting over 200 departmental accounts and this needs to be addressed before the whole group of departmental accounts expires due to the second iteration of time.
