ITS Computer Consulting Center Home Page


"The mission of the Computer Consulting Center is to provide the University's students, faculty, and staff with a centralized point of contact for all supported products and services. The Consulting Center is committed to quality service through teamwork and a proactive approach to problem identification and solution."

The Computer Consulting Center (CCC) provides customer assistance to the UNI community for ITS supported software applications. The CCC processes computer account applications and assists with troubleshooting network connectivity and electronic mail accessibility. Additionally, We address password resets, facilitate various computer purchasing programs , software sales for students under the Microsoft sale agreement, assist with computer performance and virus trouble shooting, and data recovery from damaged disks. The CCC also functions as a central location for distribution of technology support requests to college and departmental Information Technology Coordinators and Specialists.

The CCC is staffed by trained student consultants and permanent employees and is an excellent resource for any inquiries of a computing nature. If the consultant cannot assist you, she or he will refer your call to someone with the appropriate expertise, who will contact you in resolving the problem. You may submit a question to the Computer Consulting Center via the World Wide Web at http://www.uni.edu/its/us/ccc/question or call 319-273-5555. The CCC Help Desk is located in Room 36 of the ITTC Building and also welcomes walk-in traffic. Consultants are available to provide hands-on assistance Monday through Friday during University business hours.

Note: Academic Break Hours are use during scheduled breaks (i.e. Thankgiving, Spring, Semester, etc.). Summer hours are started after Spring semester and continue through to the beginning of the Fall semester. The CCC is closed during University Holidays usually reopening the evening hours before the return to classes.
