Melanie Abbas
Information Systems Manager Financial
Melanie Abbas received her BA in Computer Science with a Math Minor in May 1989 from UNI. She went on to receive an MS in Computer Science in Dec 1998 while working at the University.
Prior to joining the University, Melanie worked 4 years at Warren Computer Center as a Training and Systems Engineer. Her duties there included programming, network
installations, software and hardware support.
Melanie Abbas joined ITS-IS in 1999 after spending 7 years working in other departments at UNI. From 1992 through 1999, she held the positions of Computer Support Specialist in the College of Business and College of Natural Sciences.
She was a member of the Database and Application Administration team from 1999-2005. In July 2005, she accepted he current position and manages a staff of 3 full-time programmers. Her team is responsible for the Oracle E-Business Suite Applications used at UNI and all programming used to support them.
