Lori Seawel

Lori is an Educational Technology Specialist in Information Technology Services at the University of Northern Iowa. She received her BA from UNI in Elementary Education. She has two MA degrees. Her first MA degree, obtained in 1990 from UNI, is in Computer Applications in Education. Her second MA degree, Elementary and Secondary Administration, was completed in 1998 also from UNI. Lori taught for 10 years at the elementary and early childhood levels in private education, followed by 6 years as a Computer Teacher/Building Technology Coordinator at the middle school level. She also served as District Technology Coordinator of a K-12 school district for 2 1/2 years. Lori joined the Educational Technology team at UNI in February 2000. In addition to her university duties, Lori develops and presents workshops for the Iowa Educational Technology Training Institute and Iowa's WebCT Institute. She also played an active role in the Iowa Technology and Education Connection (ITEC) over the years, an organization that promotes effective technology use in K-12 and Higher Education.
