Planning and Policy Committee for Information Technology (PPCIT)

Charge of Committee

The Planning and Policy Committee for Information Technology (PPCIT) has responsibility for recommendations to the cabinet concerning campus-wide information technology planning and policy. To make informed recommendations, the Committee solicits input and dialogue on issues that have campus-wide impact on information technology.

The committee may delegate the drafting of policies and planning documents to qualified entities appointed by the PPCIT. PPCIT thoroughly examines the draft, making necessary changes or requesting further study or clarification. PPCIT decisions are then shared with the campus or sent to the Cabinet as appropriate.
