Information Technology Services (ITS)

ITS is comprised of four departments: Educational Technology, Information Systems, Network Services, and User Services. ITS employs 70 staff and over 100 students.

ITS is responsible for all aspects of information technology support for academic, administrative, and research functions, including the campus-wide data and voice networks, software systems in both mainframe and mid-range server environments, e-learning systems, and e-learning course development tools.

The Associate Vice President (AVP) for Information Technology Services, reporting directly to the Provost and coordinating with the deans and department heads, provides leadership and management for the ITS division and leads the strategic planning process for ITS initiatives. The AVP-ITS represents the Information Technology team within the University and throughout the larger educational and business communities. The AVP-ITS collaborates with faculty, administration, staff, and students to ensure that UNI’s Information Technology resources are optimized.
