Mike Ashton has been the Superintendent of schools for BCLUW and GMG Community Schools the last 4 years.  Prior to his current position, he was Superintendent of Schools at Melcher-Dallas for a period of 5 years.  He has additional administrative experience as a secondary principal for 17 years in Iowa.  He received his B.S. degree from ISU, his M.A. from UNI and superintendent’s endorsement from the University of Iowa. BCLUW and GMG Community Schools have been involved in IASB’s Lighthouse Project for the last 4 years as a pilot site.
