Jeff has been the Superintendent at Mount Vernon CSD since 2002.  Prior to that, he served as a teacher, coach, athletic director and assistant principal at Mount Vernon.  Coming from parents that were K-12 teachers and administrators, and a grandmother who taught in a one room country schoolhouse, Jeff has been affected greatly by the field of education.

Jeff received his B.SS in History and Education in 1981 from Cornell College, and received his M.A from the University of Iowa in 1991.  In 2001, Jeff earned his Superintendent Certification from the University of Northern Iowa.

Jeff and his wife, Deb, have two children, and enjoy gardening and remodeling their 1910 farmhouse.
