Bob Olson
Bob earned his doctorate at Drake (’89), MA at the UNI (’80), and BA from Augustana, IL (’76). He taught and coached at Dysart-Geneseo (76). He served as 7-12 principal in Wellsburg and 9-12 principal in Clarion (84). Since 1989, Bob served as superintendent for the Clarion and Goldfield School Districts. He started serving as a shared superintendent in the Dows and Clarion-Goldfield Districts in 2005. During his tenure at Clarion, Goldfield and Dows, he has experienced a shared superintendency, two successful bond issues in 1993 and 2006 (77% & 72%, respectively) and reorganization in 1993 (Goldfield = 89% and Clarion = 99% approval). Bob served as president of the Governor's Special Education Advisory Panel, member of the SAI Representative Council, and currently serves on the ISFLC Advisory Council and IJUMP Board of Directors. He was a presenter at the DE Action Lab, IASB Convention and ISFLC.
