Beth is a shareholder in the Ahlers & Cooney, P.C. law firm in Des Moines, Iowa and works
almost exclusively with Iowa school districts. She received her J.D. (with honors) from Drake
University in 1996 where she was a member of the Drake Law Review and is a member of the
Order of the Coif. Beth was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 1996 and is a member of the Public
Finance and Local Government Law departments of the Firm. She is a member of the Dallas
County, Polk County, Iowa State and American Bar Associations, the National Association of
Bond Lawyers, and Iowa Council of School Board Attorneys. Beth was a contributing author of
Planning and Financing School Improvement and Construction Projects, 57 NOLPE Monograph
Series (Edgar Bittle, ed. 1996) and coauthored the 1996, 1997, and 1999 annual reports of the
Public Education Committee of the State and Local Government Section of the American Bar
Association which is published annually in THE URBAN LAWYER. |
