Please make plans to pick up your county's share of the Transportation Enhancement seed on Wednesday, April 14, or Thursday, April 15, between the hours of 9am and 3pm. The seed will be in the same place as usual, around the back on the south side of the warehouse. The sign out front says Tallgrass Prairie Center: 2412 West 27th St in Cedar Falls. Check out the map below for directions. In case you want to car pool or pick up seed for a neighboring county, the counties that requested seed this year are as follows:
Adair, Allamakee, Audubon, Benton, Black Hawk, Buchanan, Butler, Carroll, Cerro Gordo, Chickasaw, Clinton, Dallas, Delaware, Des Moines, Fayette, Franklin, Guthrie, Hardin, Iowa, Jasper, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Linn, Louisa, Mahaska, Marion, Mitchell, Monona, Montgomery, Muscatine, O'Brien, Page, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Polk, Pottawattamie, Sac, Shelby, Story, Van Buren, Warren, Washington, Webster, and Winnebago
A full size pickup will hold 30 acres worth of seed.
Safety green T-shirts will be on sale for $5.00
Yellow Prairie Restoration signs and White Do Not Spray signs will be available while they last
