The University of Northern Iowa Fraternity & Sorority Life is dedicated to providing its members a memorable experience during their time at college. We believe in the four pillars of: Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Brotherhood/Sisterhood. Developing these pillars is the mission of UNI fraternity and sorority community.

Fraternity and sorority members consistently outperform the average student in academics, with a fraternity-wide GPA of 2.99 and a sorority-wide GPA of 3.23. Members are driven to achieve academically through support of their chapters and UNI Fraternity & Sorority Life. Additionally, fraternity and sorority members are much more likely to graduate than the average student.
Leadership experience gained through fraternity and sorority involvement is unmatched. Besides holding executive and chair positions with-in their chapters, as well as on the Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils, it is not uncommon to see members involved in leadership roles in a variety of other student organizations such as Connecting Alumni to Students (CATS), Student Admissions Ambassadors (SAA), Northern Iowa Student Government, and many more.
In the last year, UNI Fraternity & Sorority Life has donate over 4000 hours and $25,000 to charities such as Ronald McDonald House, Autism Speaks, American Veterans, and the American Red Cross through a variety of philanthropies and volunteer opportunities.
The relationships created through fraternity and sorority involvement last longer than the four years that members spend as undergraduates. Not only are lasting friendships created, but the networking opportunities are immense. After graduation, membership is free and there is a wide variety of alumni boards and groups that alumnae can become involved in.
