Strong undergraduate students may qualify
for an international merit scholarship ranging from $2000-$4000
per year. Enrolled students may apply for scholarships through
their academic departments, although many awards are restricted
to U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are for comparatively

| Graduate
Assistantships
|
Graduate
assistantships are offered by some departments on a competitive
basis and cover the cost of tuition and provide a monthly
stipend. Some awards cover only tuition or only the stipend.
Graduate students applying for graduate assistantship stipends
and graduate tuition scholarships must submit application
materials by February 1 for the next academic year. Applications
can be downloaded at www.grad.uni.edu/assistantships.

| Employment |
There are many job opportunities on the
UNI campus for students with student (F) visas or exchange
visitor (J) visas to work. The pay is usually in the range
of $6-8 per hour. F and J visa holders are not authorized
to work off campus as a means of support except under extraordinary
