Living on Campus

Some Campus Housing Features and Direct Links for Application Forms

Traditional Residence Halls: Each of our residence halls has between 8 and 14 communities called "houses." About 50 students live in each house, which can be an entire floor or portion of a floor. All have common bathrooms and hallways. Most also have lounges. The seven co-ed residence halls are Bartlett, Bender, Campbell, Dancer, Noehren, Rider, and Shull. Shull Hall accommodates all double-as-single rooms. All-female halls include Hagemann and Lawther. The co-ed Halls have all-male and all-female houses separately. Community living options in residence halls include Substance-Free, Quiet Lifestyle, Springboard, Upper-class, and Sophomore/Transfer houses. More information about community living options can be found at http://www.uni.edu/dor/housing/residencehalls/basichallinfo.htm.

Residence Halls are available for all UNI students. All Halls are open during Thanksgiving and Spring Break. Six Halls - Bartlett, Bender, Dancer, Lawther, Noehren and Shull- are also open between fall and spring semesters. There is no added charge to those who stay during any of these break periods. Bartlett is the only Hall open for 12 months and provides air conditioning. Campbell, Bartlett and part of Lawther Hall provide lofts. Some Halls are carpeted and have sinks in rooms. All residence halls have Internet connections in every room and are close to computer labs, which are open 24 hours/day for the convenience of students. There are a lot of opportunities for getting involved and leadership development.
