Waterloo Metropolitan Transport Authority

The Metropolitan Transit Authority (MET) operates several routes in Waterloo and a connecting Cedar Falls route, number 6-7. Bus fare is $0.75 for students with ID card.

        A couple of years ago, a newer Cedar Falls loop route was added. It takes passengers from the UNI campus to the rapidly growing southern part of Cedar Falls where the new Super Wal-Mart and Blaine’s Farm & Fleet can be found. It also goes to the northern and northwestern parts of town, including the Fareway grocery store and Osco Drug. This route has been especially useful for UNI students. Map and timetable
        A convenient bus stop is located near the intersection of College Street and Seerley Boulevard.

Panther Shuttle

University of Northern Iowa Student Government (NISG) sponsors this shuttle bus service that operates from the end of September until early April every academic year. The Panther Shuttle is a great way to stay out of the cold and get comfortably and quickly from your home to your classroom, or from one end of campus to the other. Schedule and route information
