International Services Office

The International Services Office assists students in their transition to campus from their home countries and in their daily campus activities while they are enrolled. International students find a full complement of services especially for them:

Orientation

Each semester, the International Services Office provides the Orientation and Registration Program for all new students. The mandatory program provides important information about UNI, campus resources and issues concerning international students.

Immigration Advising

Staff members at the International Services Office are available to assist students with individual immigration questions and paperwork. More about immigration..

Personal Advising and Counseling

As students adjust to their new surroundings, International Services offers support for students who need assistance with personal matters. If the International Services Office is unable to help, they will guide you to the appropriate resource on campus.

Special Programs and Activities

Throughout the year, International Services will host social and cultural events to bring students together and provide new experiences. These include coffee hours, holiday dinners, soccer tournaments, International Student Day and excursions to local and Midwest attractions.

International Friendship Program

International students who would like an opportunity to get to know an American family may participate in this program which matches students with volunteer community families.

International Student Association (ISA)

This cultural and social club for international and American students is an opportunity to share cultural experiences and learn from others. The club plans social events throughout the school year including picnics, movie nights and other fun activities. ISA also helps sponsor programs on diversity and participates in campus and community service. More about ISA..
