Scholarships

Strong undergraduate students may qualify for an international merit scholarship ranging from $2000-4000 per year. International students with parents and/or siblings who graduated from UNI will also qualify for the Legacy Scholarship for $1000. Enrolled students may also apply for scholarships through their academic departments, though many awards are restricted to U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are for comparatively small amounts. An on-line scholarship directory can be viewed at http://www.uni.edu/finaid/scholarship.shtml.

Other non-UNI resources for scholarships, grants and loans is available for your information.

Employment

There are many job opportunities on the UNI campus for students with student (F) visas or exchange visitors (J) visas to work. The pay is usually in the range of $5-7 per hour. F and J visa holders are not authorized to work off campus as a means of support except under extraordinary circumstances. An online UNI job board can be viewed at www.uni.edu/finaid/studentemployment.shtml.
