TOEFL AlternativesInternational students who are not native speakers of English must provide evidence of English language proficiency. The following are accepted by the University of Northern Iowa as measures of English proficiency:
Students
who do not meet one of the above requirements may study English in UNI's
Culture and Intensive English Program
(CIEP). Students with a paper-based TOEFL score between 500 and
549 (or its equivalent)* may enroll part-time in academic classes and
part-time in the UNI CIEP with the approval of the Office of Admission
and CIEP. Students scoring below 500 on the TOEFL (or its equivalent)
must enroll full-time in CIEP. |
