2014 Japanese Government MEXT Research Student Scholarship Now Available

The Japan Information Center is delighted to announce that applications for the 2014 Japanese Government MEXT Research Student Scholarship are now available! This scholarship provides for college graduates to conduct an independent research project at a university in Japan under the supervision of a professor for 18 to 24 months. Any field of study is eligible for the scholarship, but applicants must find a professor at a Japanese university willing to supervise their research.

Fulbright U.S. Scholar Grant Opportunities in India and South and Central Asia

Application Deadline: August 1, 2013
There has never been a better time to apply to the Fulbright Scholar Program in South and Central Asia. India has become the largest Fulbright Program in the world, with more opportunities for grants than any other country. The India program funds more than 80 grants annually for Americans to teach, conduct research, or do both, in virtually any academic discipline.

Fulbright Postdoctoral/Early Career Grants

Postdoctoral/early career grants are open to U.S. scholars who have recently completed their doctoral degrees – typically within the five previous years. The number of such Fulbright Scholar awards has grown, particularly for research activities. A few awards include teaching opportunities as well.  Postdoctoral awards are available in STEM fields, the arts, humanities and social sciences.

ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship

ThinkSwiss offers scholarship for a research stay in Switzerland.  It supports highly motivated and qualifies U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to do research at a public Swiss university or research institute for 2 to 3 months.  The scholarship is open to students of all fields.  Click here for more information.
