Fulbright Canada - Awards for American Scholars

The Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program operates on the principle of reciprocal exchange and provides the opportunity for outstanding American scholars to lecture and/or conduct research in Canada. Award recipients include prominent and promising scholars, as well as experienced professionals. Applicants can apply to the:

Distinguished Chairs Program (Pending): US$35,000 for one semester (4 months)

Visiting Research Chairs Program: US$25,000 for one semester (4 months)

The 2015-2016 Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Competition is Now Open

The Fulbright Scholar Program offers teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125 countries for the 2015-2016 academic year.  Opportunities are available for college and university faculty and administrators as well as for professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers, independent scholars and many others.  Fulbright has introduced several innovations to meet the changing needs of U.S.

Fulbright Nexus Regional Scholarship Program

The Fulbright Regional Network for Applied Research (NEXUS) Program will bring together a network of junior scholars, professionals and mid-career applied researchers from the United States, Brazil and other Western Hemisphere nations for a series of three seminar meetings and a Fulbright exchange experience.  At its core, the Fulbright NEXUS Program fosters collaborative and multidisciplinary research to address challenging regional issues and produce tangible results.
