Jennings Randolph Program for International Peace

Senior Fellowships are awarded to professionals in the broad areas of international peace and conflict management. Program is open to individuals with national or international stature in conflict resolution and mid-career professionals. Senior Fellows work in residence at USIP in Washington, D.C. for up to 10 months for up to $100,000. Peace Scholar Dissertation Fellowship Awards (12/13/13) provide $20,000 for 10 months of writing or field research. Must have completed all Ph.D. coursework.

U.S.-Israel Binational Agricultural Research and Development Fund (BARD)

Deadline: September 16th, 2013

BARD is a competitive funding program for mutually beneficial, mission-oriented, strategic and applied research of agricultural problems, jointly conducted by American and Israeli scientists. Most BARD projects focus on increasing agricultural productivity, particularly in hot and dry climates, and emphasize plant and animal health, food quality and safety, and environmental issues. Program offers fellowships for postdoctoral research, senior research scientists and graduate students and also supports international workshops.

Institutional Grants from the Tinker Foundation

Deadline:  September 15, 2013

Supports conferences, workshops, and research projects that address Democratic Governance, Sustainable Resource Management, U.S. Policy toward Latin America, Antarctica Science and Policy, and Education. The foundation encourages collaboration among organizations in the U.S., Latin America, Spain, and Portugal. Letters of intent are strongly encouraged before the annual deadlines.

OCLC/ALISE Library and Information Science Research Grants

Deadline: September 15, 2013

Supports independent research that helps librarians integrate new technologies into areas of traditional competence and contributes to a better understanding of the information environment and user expectations and behaviors. Eligibility is limited to faculty in schools of library and informaion science. Encourages international proposals and collaborative projects. Cost sharing is not required, but institutional support of projects is expected.Offers three awards of up to $15,000.

Call for Applications for the Japan-America Collegiate Exchange Travel Program

The Japan Foundation is now accepting applications for the Japan-America Collegiate Exchange Travel Program.

This program is designed to facilitate exchange and understanding between Japan and the U.S. by providing travel funds for short-term travel to Japan. Geared toward undergraduates, instructors teaching a Japan-related course are invited to propose study tours that are incorporated in course syllabi and arranged to build on course contents.
