1) 2015-2016 Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Core Competition is Now OPEN
The Fulbright Scholar Program offers teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125 countries for the 2015-2016 academic year. Opportunities are available for college and university faculty and administrators as well as for professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers, independent scholars and many others.  Interested faculty and professionals are encouraged to learn more about these opportunities, and hundreds of others, by visiting the Catalog of Awards.  The application deadline for most awards is August 1, 2014.  U.S. citizenship is required.  For other eligibility requirements and detailed award descriptions visit our website at or contact us at

2) Call for Reviewers: Core Fulbright Scholar Program and Fulbright Specialist ProgramCIES is currently seeking Fulbright Scholar alumni and other individuals with specific expertise in a discipline to fill 196 open vacancies across 80 different disciplines on 130 review committees.  There is a high need for peer reviewers in the fields of Education, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Journalism, Political Science, Business Administration, Psychology, Computer Science, and Geography. If you know someone who may be interested in serving on a committee, please direct them to the CIES Peer Review website ( or have them contact Emily Bastian at for further information.  The Fulbright Specialist Program is also looking for peer reviewers across 24 disciplines to evaluate applications and recommend U.S. applicants for the Fulbright Specialist Roster based on the program goals and review criteria. There is a particular desire for peer reviewers with expertise in the STEM education fields.
