1) Fulbright Regional Network for Applied Research (NEXUS) Program
The Fulbright NEXUS Program will provide a platform for program participants to engage in collaborative thinking, analysis, problem-solving and multi-disciplinary research. An emphasis will be placed on climate change adaptation strategies and public policy focused research ventures that examine strategies to cope with climate variability.  Up to 20 individuals from the Western Hemisphere region will engage in team-based research.  For more information visit: or contact Dylan Gipson, Senior Program Officer at

2) Outreach Lecturing Fund
IIE/CIES is actively seeking institutions to host Visiting Scholars for short term campus visits.
There are more than 800 Visiting Fulbright Scholars from around the world currently at higher education institutions across the United States.  The Outreach Lecturing Fund (OLF) is a travel grant that would facilitate short term (two to six days) campus visits to:    

  • Share their specific research interests
  • Speak on the history and culture of their countries
  • Exchange ideas with U.S. students, faculty and community organizations
  • Become better acquainted with U.S. higher education
  • Create linkages between their home and host institutions

In addition to programming the visit, institutions are asked to cover the following costs for the scholar:

  • Local transportation
  • Lodging and Accommodations
  • Meals
