The University Museum is one of only five major natural history museums in the state of Iowa. The collections, which support the university's curriculum and research, cover a wide selection of natural and human history topics. The museum offers events and programs to heighten student and public awareness of environmental and cultural diversity and serves as a forum for the discussion of global issues.
