Recruitment Information I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and what the Department of Industrial Technology has to offer at the University of Northern Iowa. My name is Michelle Garris and my position here at UNI is Student Recruitment and Academic Services for the Department of Industrial Technology. I work with high school students, transfers from other colleges, individuals already on campus switching majors, and non-traditional students. My main role is to make sure that each and every student has a smooth transition from one role to another. I work very closely with prospective and current students to create schedules for future semesters, work with industrial technology scholarships, coordinate events such as Industrial Technology days which are held once every fall and spring, and travel throughout the community and state to inform individuals about our department and what we have to offer.
